Industrial Machine Knives

We produce a comprehensive range of industrial machine knives — including zig zag cutting blades — to suit different cutting mechanisms, machine designs, and material handling requirements.

Industrial Machine Knife Types We Manufacture

YiShi Machinery manufactures industrial machine knives for production, converting, and recycling lines where cutting edge integrity directly affects throughput and part quality. Our blades are specified by procurement engineers and maintenance teams who require exact material grades, controlled hardness ranges, and dimensional tolerances that match OEM fitment. We supply knives in tool steels (D2, M2, H13, SKD11, Cr12MoV), high-speed steels, and tungsten carbide, with vacuum heat treatment achieving HRC 58–65 depending on the grade. Every knife is produced to customer drawings, sample dimensions, or OEM part numbers, with typical OD/ID tolerances held to ±0.01 mm and surface finishes down to Ra 0.2 µm on cutting edges. This page outlines the knife types, material options, and application-specific configurations we support across packaging, plastics recycling, roll cutting, printing, non-wovens, and food processing — including our bread cutter blade for commercial bakery slicing lines — including our bread cutter blade for commercial bakery slicing lines.

Industrial Machine Knives by Application

Custom and OEM Industrial Machine Knives

Every knife we ship starts with your specification. Provide a dimensioned drawing with material grade, hardness, and tolerance callouts, and we manufacture to print. If you do not have a drawing, send the OEM part number, machine make and model, or a worn sample. Our engineering team will reverse-engineer the geometry, measure hardness, and propose an equivalent or upgraded material.

Metal, plastic, film, paper, board, fiber, rubber, food products, and other materials all require different blade materials, edge geometries, and wear strategies.

Why YiShi for Industrial Machine Knives

Customised Knife Solutions
Factory-Direct Manufacturing — No Intermediary

All industrial machine knives are produced in-house on our CNC grinding centres and wire EDM machines. No sub-contracting. You work directly with the production facility, which means consistent lead times and no intermediary markup between your specification and your shipment.

Broad Coverage Across Cutting Applications
Documented Tolerances, Verified Per Batch

OD/ID tolerances are held to ±0.01 mm as standard. Cutting edge surface finish is Ra 0.2 µm. Hardness is verified by Rockwell testing per production batch — test records are available on request. We do not estimate tolerances; we measure and document them.

Global Supply and Responsive Support
Material Certification and Grade Transparency

We source D2, M2, H13, SKD11, and tungsten carbide from traceable suppliers. Material mill certificates are available with each shipment. If your specified grade creates lead time or cost constraints, we will propose a verified alternative and explain the exact trade-offs in hardness, wear resistance, and service interval.

Stable Quality and Repeatable Performance
OEM Replacement Without Drawings

Supply an OEM part number, machine brand and model, or a worn sample. Our engineering team reverse-engineers the full geometry, measures the original hardness specification, and produces a replacement that fits the existing installation. No drawing is required to begin the process.

Industrial Machine Knife Selection Guide

Selecting the right industrial machine knife involves balancing material, hardness, edge geometry, and coating against your specific cutting application. Use this guide as a starting point:

  1. Identify the cutting media: Abrasive materials (glass-filled plastics, aramid fibres) require higher hardness and wear resistance. Soft, tough materials (rubber, food products) need a sharper edge with lower brittleness.
  2. Determine the cutting mechanism: Shear cutting, crush cutting, or razor slitting each impose different loads on the blade edge. Shear blades need toughness; razor blades need high sharpness and edge retention.
  3. Match material grade to application: D2 for general-purpose wear, M2 for high-speed or elevated-temperature cutting, tungsten carbide for maximum life in abrasive conditions, H13 for thermal cycling applications.
  4. Specify hardness within the grade's optimal range: D2 at HRC 58–60, M2 at HRC 62–65. Over-hardening can cause chipping; under-hardening leads to rapid wear.
  5. Select edge geometry
