Used on slitter rewinders to cut BOPP, PET, PE, CPP, and aluminized films into narrow rolls. The slotted design allows for precise lateral positioning on the arbor, critical for maintaining tight width tolerances in multi-knife setups.
Customized sizes are available, according to your drawing or sample.
YISHI slotted blades are precision circular knives engineered for high-speed slitting and rewinding of flexible web materials. Designed for direct mounting on industry-standard slitter rewinders and converting lines, these blades deliver clean, burr-free cuts on films, foils, papers, and laminates. Blade bodies are typically manufactured from high-carbon, high-chromium cold-work tool steels such as D2 (Cr12MoV) or high-speed steels like M2, vacuum heat-treated to a hardness range of HRC 58–65 for an optimal balance of edge retention and fracture resistance. Outer diameters range from 50 mm to 400 mm, with bore tolerances held to H7 as standard. Each blade is surface-ground to a finish of Ra 0.4 µm or finer, ensuring minimal friction and consistent slit quality across long production runs.
Standard material is D2 (Cr12MoV) hardened to HRC 58–62. For abrasive films, M2 high-speed steel (HRC 62–65) or tungsten carbide (HRA 89–92) grades are available to extend blade life.
Mounting bores are finished to H7 tolerance as standard, with keyways or pin holes machined to customer specifications, ensuring concentric runout below 0.01 mm for vibration-free operation.
Standard edge angles are supplied at 30°, 45°, or 60°, with single or double-bevel configurations. Custom edge profiles, including scalloped or serrated edges for tacky materials, are produced to drawing.
Blade faces are double-disc ground to a surface roughness of Ra 0.2–0.4 µm, reducing adhesive buildup and frictional heat when slitting pressure-sensitive tapes or low-melting-point films.
Blades are produced to exact OEM specifications or customer drawings. Provide OD, ID, thickness, number of slots, slot dimensions, and material grade for a quote. Non-standard slot patterns and coatings (TiN, CrN) are supported.
Mainly used for cutting tape, film, paper, aluminum foil, and other materials, including PET, PP, PVC, PE plastic films, CPP composite films, aluminized films, pearl films, label films, laser films, wrapping films, cast films, lithium battery separators, BOPP sealing tapes, and more.

YISHI Machinery manufactures slotted blades in-house from certified tool steel and carbide blanks, with full process traceability from vacuum heat treatment to final inspection. Every blade is checked for hardness, dimensional accuracy, and runout before shipment. We support low minimum order quantities for custom sizes and deliver standard OEM-equivalent blades within 15 working days. Our engineering team reviews your material, machine type, and current failure mode to recommend the optimal steel grade and edge geometry, helping you reduce unplanned downtime and cost per slit.
There is no universal standard. Slot width, depth, and the number of slots are determined by your machine's arbor and locking mechanism. Provide your existing blade drawing or machine model, and we will match the slot pattern exactly.
For abrasive materials like filled plastics or metalized films, M2 high-speed steel (HRC 62–65) offers better wear resistance than D2. For maximum life in high-volume aluminum foil slitting, solid tungsten carbide (HRA 89–92) is the recommended upgrade.
Yes. We regularly produce OEM-equivalent slotted blades for all major slitter rewinder brands. Send us the machine model, a drawing, or a sample blade, and we will replicate the dimensions, slot pattern, and material specification.
Standard custom orders are completed within 15–20 working days after drawing approval. For urgent requirements, we offer an expedited service that can reduce lead time to 7–10 working days, subject to material availability.
Yes, we provide a re-sharpening and reconditioning service. Blades are inspected for cracks, re-ground to the original geometry, and re-coated if necessary. This can extend blade life by multiple cycles at a fraction of the replacement cost.
